This will hurt all small businesses

Over a month ago our postal system up here in Canada decided to go on strike. This isn't anything out of the ordinary for Canada Post. It seems every year as the time for their new contract they threaten to strike. But this year they have gone and strike. Now normally it wouldn't bother me so much. It's not a bad thing that the flyers and other unnecessary mail get let behind.
But this year it hurts a little more.
As a small business owner that relies on the postal system to send my parcels to my clients all over the world I have had to suspend shipping. I have had to turn down orders for now for until the strike is over. But I'm not the only small business that is hurting. Not all of us can go to Purolator or UPS and open business accounts with them. So this is hurting our bottom line during a season where we should be gaining. There is hundreds if dare I say it thousands of dollars that could have been made during the last 5 weeks that come the new year I feel many small businesses may be closing.
I am determined to stay open. I will continue to make clothing and other items. But sadly for my international subscribers I will not be able to send to you until the strike is resolved. if you are still wanting to order and are okay with waiting then that would be a huge blessing. But you don't have to. I will not let my shop become a statistic in the global economies nonsense.
Thank you for your time,
Yah Bless You
Kimberley
