Our first trip – Mt Robson Provincial Park
Last year when we had to say goodbye to the farm we decided to purchase an RV. Rentals are super expensive and at the time we still had some animals we were trying to rehome. Our first trip was to Alberta for Feast of Tabernacles. We had friends watching the animals for us where we were planning to stay that winter.

Our site set up at Feast of Tabernacles – Cremora Alberta
We spent 10 days at the Feast and then journeyed home. We were stationary all winter on a beef farm helping out an elderly lady. We had a few occasions where the pipes froze and we had no water. We also ran out of propane a few times before we got the big tank from the propane company.

Winter set up. All skirted and sealed off underneath. – Marilla BC
We found it cozy to be in the trailer all winter. I hated the humidity and we have since purchased a dehumidifier. We could may be do a little rock stove but we aren’t sure if this will be our forever RV. We may upgrade to one a little bigger. We didn’t have sewer hook up at the farm so we had to manually dumps the tanks each week. We also had to rely on the water pump and fresh water tank for our water. We learned a lot of what not to do and make sure you do’s.

Our spot in the RV park. – Canoe BC
Now we are in the Shuswap area of BC. We decided it was time for a move. So we sold our animals and packed everything and left. No longer is my husbands commute to work 1 hour each way. He only has a 15 minute drive now. Way less stress on him and the truck. D now works at a go-kart track for the summer. That is a short 5 minute bike ride away. We have some pretty great neighbors in the campground. We can take our dog Owen for walks off leash in the lower section. Everyone looks out for each other. We will be heading to the states for a trip in October and knowing we have this spot to come back to is very refreshing.
We are able to save money to put towards trips that we want to do. This Fall it is heading to Oklahoma and back from mid October to the end. We’ll be taking the RV with us and I can’t wait for the trip. I am enjoying this life style and we will see what the winter is like here. We are hoping to either buy land or buy a RV spot at a different RV park in the spring. But for now we are staying put under the cedar trees and enjoying their shade on hot days.
Until next time friends….
