What’s the story behind your nickname?
The story behind my Nickname comes from being a counselor at a youth Bible camp for troubled teens. I was the head cook in the kitchen and in order to protect ourselves we had camp names that the kids would call us. So since I was the oldest counselor on site and was a mom, the name just seemed to fit.
To this day when I see some of the kids and young adults from camp they still call me Mama Keeki. I loved working with the youth and it is something in my heart that I often reflect on.
