Each Journey begins with a single step

Good Morning Friends,
The above title is a quote of sorts but I can’t recall from where at the moment. Possibly by the time I’m done writing this it will come to me. But until then let’s have a chat over a nice warm cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer).
This last year our family has undergone some serious crushing and testing from YHWH. He removed a lot of things from our life that we had managed to make more important than he is. But in true YHWH form he has revealed to us that he is truly all we need. Being part of a wider body of like minded believers has also been amazing. J has gotten to know so many men and make some good friendships. D finally has some good relationships with peers who are also on this walk. Myself I have found a couple groups of ladies where I am starting to feel that I belong. Slowly Yah is revealing true sisters to me that I can trust with my heart.
But amidst all the testing and us learning to lean on YHWH, he has ignited a desire in our hearts. In the 22 years my husband and I have been together we haven’t stayed in an area longer then 6 years. We are entering our sixth year in our current area and while we do truly love it here, we are feeling the nudge to go. Now what does that GO look like? Well friends… J has given me the freedom to plan a trip from the East Coast of Canada (St. John’s NFLD) to the West Coast of Canada (Vancouver Island BC). From Mid May to either end of July or Mid August we plan on traveling in our RV as a family and meeting new friends. Our prayer and hope is to be able to stay with other believers and help them on their homesteads.
J and I have always been very community minded and we honestly think that now since we have a home that has wheels under it we have no excuse not to do what YHWH is putting before us. I am in the planning stages and am looking for campgrounds and provincial parks that we can stay at as well as reaching out to the Whole Bible believing community to see if they would have space for our 30ft trailer, the truck that tows it and our old dog Owen (He’s 8 years old this year). The site doesn’t even need power hook up as we will have a generator to power our Starlink so we can stay in touch while on the road.
This has been a trip that I have wanted to do since I was a child. I have always loved traveling. Over the next few weeks I will post the rough idea for our route and if you are on it please reach out via the Contact Us page and let us know where you are at and if you want to get together. If there is attractions that are a must see in any of the places we are heading share them with us too. We will be blogging and vlogging while out on the road because we want to share the vastness of Canada with others. So please let us know if you are okay with us filming at your place if we come there. I know some aren’t into showing where they live and how they live and we respect that.
Well that is it my friends.. My coffee is in need of a refill. I found the quote from the beginning. ”The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step” quote from Chinese Philosopher Lao Tzu. Very wise words for anyone’s journey through this thing called life. Taking that first step in Faith that YHWH will guide and protect us is up to each of us. My family have chosen to take that huge step in Faith, knowing that YHWH will protect us and look after our needs.
